Vannes, the medieval city

There are more than two thousand years, the city of Vannes was founded in the Gulf of Morbihan.

It was the city of the Vénètes, gallic people, and a Gallo-Roman city, finally a great city of trade during the Middle Ages.

Many historical places to visit in Vannes: Place des Lices, le Château-Gaillard, la Cohue, la cathédrale Saint-Pierre, ramparts and la Tour du Connétable...

There are also pedestrian streets with their medieval houses.

After this walk in the medieval section of the city, enjoy walking down to the marina: until the 17th century it was a trading port, but now it's a marina surrounded by esplanades and café terraces !

During your vacation stay, you can attend many cultural events : les Fêtes d'Arvor in August, les Fêtes historiques et le Festival de jazz in July, or every two years, the famous Semaine du Golfe.

Feel free to ask at the reception of the campsite, we'll give you all informations to visit Vannes!
